The Estate Planning Checkup

You wouldn't go a decade without seeing a doctor. So why do so many people go that long without looking at their estate plan?

Your plan isn't something you set up once and forget. Over the years your family changes, your assets change, and the laws change right along with them. A plan that fit your life perfectly five or ten years ago can quietly drift out of step, and you usually don't find out until it's too late to fix.

In this webinar, we'll give your estate plan a checkup. We'll walk through the pieces that matter most, your trust, your beneficiary designations, your powers of attorney, and how your assets are owned, and show you how to tell whether they still work together the way you intended. Think of it as a physical for your plan. A little attention now can save your family a great deal later.

What Will You Learn

A good estate plan is a lot like your health. It's easy to assume everything's fine until someone actually takes a look. This webinar is that look. We'll walk you through a simple way to check whether your plan is still doing its job.

Here's some of what we'll cover:

  • How to give your trust an honest review. When it was written, what's changed since, and whether it still reflects the family and the wishes you have today.
  • Why your beneficiary designations deserve a second look. The forms on your retirement accounts and life insurance can quietly override your trust, and it only takes one outdated name to send money to the wrong place.
  • Whether your powers of attorney still hold up. The people you named to handle your finances and healthcare may not be the right choices anymore, and gaps here can leave your family stuck at the worst possible moment.
  • How your assets are actually owned, and why it matters. A home or account titled the wrong way can sit outside your plan entirely, no matter what your documents say.
  • How the pieces fit together. Each part can look fine on its own and still fail as a whole, so we'll show you how to check that they're all pulling in the same direction.
  • What a healthy review schedule looks like. Your plan isn't a one-time event, and we'll talk about how often to check in so small issues never turn into big ones.

By the end, you'll know how to look at your own plan with a clear eye, spot the areas that need attention, and make sure everything still works together the way you meant it to.

Restating my existing Revocable Living Trust was a five-star experience.

Restating my existing Revocable Living Trust was a five-star experience. Their professionalism, knowledge and guidance of what I needed to update my trust was a huge aid to help me make the right decisions for my trust. They were remarkably quick to respond to any questions I had.

It was a very easy process online with them to make the updates and complete the restated trust in only a couple of online meetings! Knowing now how easy this process is, there is no reason for anyone to put off creating a trust for their family. S.T.E.P. truly is what it says, they are specialized in assisting people who need this service but have no idea of how to get started.

I had an excellent experience with S.T.E.P. (Specialized Trust & Estate Plan)

Jon and his team are knowledgeable, professional, and took the time to clearly explain the process. They made what could have been a complicated and overwhelming experience feel organized and manageable. Communication was consistent and timely, which gave us confidence throughout.

Jon truly cares about his clients and makes you feel like you are his top priority. I would highly recommend S.T.E.P. to anyone looking for reliable and trustworthy estate planning services.

Restating my existing Revocable Living Trust was a five-star experience.

With the updating of our wills, living trust, advanced directive, etc. as a part of our estate planning. This was increasingly necessary due to my wife's onset of multiple myeloma (blood cancer). Once the process engaged, it went very smoothly and our entire estate planning was put into place seamlessly, effectively, and very quickly.

We couldn't have been more pleased with the entire process. I would highly recommend this experience to all other people wishing to create or upgrade their plans.

I used Jon Sanchez S.T.E.P. services to restate my out-of-date trust.

My existing trust had been generated by a large attorney firm. The S.T.E.P. process uncovered several undesirable entries, previously unknown to me. Once restated, Mr. Sanchez patiently, articulately, and comprehensively reviewed, line-by-line, the restated trust with me. Just as important, I am receiving detailed guidance on correctly retitling every asset held in the trust. Unlike the trust generated from the attorney firm, I have complete confidence that the S.T.E.P. restated trust, and updated asset titling, achieves my intentions.
